Self Introduction: Hi! I'm a massage therapist and house-husband, a cat person who lives with a dog, and probably 95% a book-fandom guy. In addition to Palamedes, I play Augustine, who might or might not actually make it out here to Folkmore at some point — and have some gelatinous (ie, semi-solid) plans to bring Sicarius from the Emperor's Edge books, hopefully coming soon to a TDM near you. I have an incredibly breathtaking case of ADHD and will always welcome a gentle reminder if it seems like I've lost track of a thread (because I probably accidentally archived that email notification, and genuinely don't realize I've misplaced it). I'm also happy to backtag for eternity or until it seems like a thread is Actually Done, even if there are some stupid-long delays in there somewhere! Looking forward to making friends in- and out-of-character alike. 😁

Character Name: the Master Warden, Heir to the Sixth, "did you know if you take the first three letters of your last name and the first three letters of your first name, you get 'Sex Pal'?": Palamedes Sextus.
Canon/Canon Point: The Locked Tomb / post Harrow the Ninth
Character Appearance: A whole lot of coat hangers in a trenchcoat necromancer's robe; he's tall-ish and skinny as hell and looks like he'd blow away in a stiff breeze (but that's fine, he's from a space station, they don't have breezes there! ... what do you mean this is a more planet-like environment oh nooooo). Resting bitch face (canonically phrased as such!). Big thick glasses with metal frames under constant abuse; incredibly luminous grey eyes that are readily weaponized when he's taking his glasses off to clean them. Currently he only has the single pair of eyes. In his head. Where people would expect a human to have them.
General Personality: Incredibly pedantic Library Kid. Grew up in a library (literally); smartest kid of all the kids in that Library; too smart for his own good ... but actually not a jerk about it! Always wants to learn everything about everything, equally willing to teach anyone about anything he knows. The sort of person who finds "solve this strange and morbid puzzle; if you fail it might kill you" to be a deeply relaxing and enjoyable pastime. (Please don't make him do something physically active, he's allergic.) Also the sort of person who did not ask for a medical release from an arduous and unpleasant chore, when he discovered an allergy to the cleaning product in question, because that allowed him to "study his contact dermatitis". Yep.
Character Powers: Palamedes is a Locked Tomb necromancer, much like Harrowhark — admittedly he is not a Lyctor, because he didn't Agree With That Process, thanks! — which mostly just means that he doesn't have the frankly ridiculous power supply, because becoming a Lyctor doesn't actually make you more creative about how you use what you've got. He also has a lot more awareness of life energy (thalergy), rather than only death energy (thanergy), out of practice and experimentation and a strong desire to cure a very specific young woman's cancer.

Character Role: Legend
Living Area: as far away from the sun as possible He's going to feel most comfortable in Lapine, right up until he realizes he's too tall, and that light-blocking curtains exist, at which point he will probably want to move... somewhere else. Maybe Talaria, maybe a dorm somewhere.
Character's Potential: Don't let the "look, this is a college kid, and a geek at that!" vibes fool you; Palamedes is a Wise Old Wizard, he just hasn't gotten the "old" part down yet. (Having been interrupted to come here on his way back from being dead at 20, he's not sure whether or not he's going to Get Old, for that matter.) Future site of a less-JKR-infused replacement Dumbledore, right here: he has no intentions of being a hero, but that doesn't mean he intends to let people get themselves killed/maimed/injured/embarrassed right in front of him if he has the capacity to Do Something About It, either. He would just ... rather be in a supporting role. At the library. Come see him when you're trying to figure out the next step in your quest, maybe, okay?
Initial Plans: His immediate instinct is to hole up in the library, because that's ... home ... and safety ... and unfortunately there is not a single location in Folkmore that really serves the same purpose of being a repository of all the knowledge in one place, preserved forever. Woe, alack. He'll get over it, though, and work on mastering his knowledge of the local geography (and all its quirks), and will probably be found learning & teaching at Amrita (for medical care), Thoth (because Harrowhark paved the way with necromancy-is-science), and maybe Baba Yaga (because, well, it's also kinda magical, and because he's a completionist, and if he goes there and finds the place, he'll know whether or not it suits, see?) as well.
